TailGate Beer is throwing a party on Sunday to celebrate the 2 year anniversary of their taproom (7300 Charlotte Pike, Nashville, TN 37209) opening in West Nashville. TailGate will be pouring 30 draft beers, including 5 new high gravity offerings. One of these will be their Imperial Peanut Butter Stout. A jacked up version of their very popular Peanut Butter Stout. They also will tap a cask during the party. It’s great to see cask beer in Nashville these days. Since the closing of Hillsboro Village’s beloved Bosco’s, casks have been few and far between around here. Cask conditioned beer is always a treat. Free tours will be given all day and if you are a TailGate mug club member, all mugs will be $1 off on Sunday.
TailGate’s expansive facility already has something for everyone: beer, games, pizza, movies. You get the idea. As a father of 3, I can tell you that breweries don’t get more kid friendly that this. I know that turns off some beer geeks, but TailGate is big enough for everyone. Don’t sleep on the pizza, either. With so few Nashville breweries serving food these days, it’s nice to always be able to get a pie and a pint at TailGate. And we all know pizza and beer go great with Sunday Funday!
(Note: I’ll also be posting a more in-depth look at TailGate’s expansion over the next few weeks, here on Tennessee Maltz.)
